On Friday June 9th, the EmpowerHER program hosted a Ladies’ Night Paint & Sip at The Community Wellness Project’s Corporate Office as a part of the Brown Girls Brunch series. Brown Girls Brunch is an educational series that engages Black women in discussions about sexual health. The goal is to provide resources to attendees, so that they can become ambassadors for sexual wellness in their communities. Paint & Sip attendees were provided dinner, engaged in discussion on sexual health and stigma, and expressed their creativity. The ladies were provided materials to paint a figure of a Black woman and several attendees added affirmations for themselves around their paintings. We had a blast and are so grateful to the ladies who showed up and engaged with us! Additional thanks to St. Louis Art Supply for providing us with paint and to Boca Pharmacy Group for sponsoring the event.

On Saturday, July 22nd EmpowerHER will be hosting a Health and Economic Resource Fair in partnership with the St. Louis International Institute! This fair will be geared toward African-born women and women of the African Diaspora. To register, Click Here or email oapata@cwpstl.org.
